Enjoying the Spice of Life in Grenada - Love, Laughter, Friends

Grenada is still beautiful in the dry season! The bougainvillea are plentiful always in bloom and the vibrant colors contrast sharply to the browning and dry grasses.

The highlight of this month was the visit from Chris's sister, Lindy. Visitors (hint, hint) always allow us to see the island anew through their eyes. A frequent visitor on Troubadour, and having visited Grenada previously, she was no longer interested the requisite island tour. So, we treated Lindy and ourselves to the spice of life, Troubadour style.

Great views abound in Grenada.

Lindy and I had two private yoga sessions with Malaika at Spice Harmony Yoga Studio on The Great Yoga Wall. We laughed at the always entertaining Esther and Omega's cooking class at True Blue Bay Resort, where we tasted creole chicken, and learned that this tasty sauce would work well for pizza, with shrimp and on pasta. And to add a little "vice" to our "virtues" we joined the Texas Hold 'Em poker group at Secret Harbour Marina with the usual suspects. Although Lindy wasn't all that confident in her poker skills and is still perfecting her poker face, she took second place! Graham was not about to split the pot!

A morning of massages for Chris and Lindy took place at the beautiful La Luna Beach Resort where the Bali-style massage left them quite relaxed. I enjoyed yoga practice near the beach in the yoga pavilion.

When Chris headed off to teach an ASA (American Sailing Association) course for LTD in Grenada, Lindy and I spent the day at the University Club pool - blue skies, palm trees and soft breezes.

The cruising season is coming to a close for many of our friends anchored or moored in Mount Hartman Bay and on the docks at Secret Harbour Marina. We were lucky enough to enjoy the company of fine friends as we shared a farewell dinner at the enchanting Cave House Restaurant at Mount Hartman Bay Estate overlooking our boats at sunset.

Until we meet again, cheers!
